I'm Home!

So I posted one blog on March 28th and just now getting around to posting again.  I would really like to get to this more often but April, and this first part of May, have been crazy.  I am not working at the moment but starting the job of my life on June 4th as an executive assistant.  I worked my butt off in the early 90s getting a degree in interior design and found my way into the office world on accident.  I haven't left the office world since and love it!  I don't think my education was a waste...there were some great memories, life lessons, and a bit of growing up in those years. 

So leaving Florida and my 2nd husband to start a new life is finally paying off.  Doing this at age 42 has been more of a challenge than I anticipated, but you are never too old to find the life you want.  It took me some time to be ok with not having the marriage, the house, the job, the kids, the pets and the rest that goes with a "normal" life.  My two marriages didn't work out.  So what.  I have always been a late bloomer and will not be afraid to bloom now...late is better than never and I hope my kids take that lesson out of all this moving around.  They have actually been great and tell me how proud they are of me.  I thought that by leaving their father, and then leaving their step father of 11 years, who raised them from ages 2 and 6, that they would be a little weary of my so-called stability.  But they have rolled with me and supported me and here I am in San Diego!  I am finally home.

It has been an interesting week to say the least so I have been looking through some great quotes on www.quotegarden.com that my friend Shelly suggested.  I am trying to "regroup" after the week I have had and thought posting my two favorite things in the whole world would make me smile - my awesome daughters! Yep, this made me smile but now the smile is gone because I just realized it is only Wednesday.  *sigh* 

Welcome!

Hi there!  Welcome to my blog.  I am just learning about blogging so not sure how well this is going to go or how often I will update it but my goal here is to let any of my family and friends, who are interested,  keep up with me now that I have moved to California.  I work a lot of hours, including the weekends, and with the time difference it is difficult to always catch up on the phone.  Besides, I have never been real good at picking up the phone to talk.  Being a girl, you would think I would like to talk on the phone but I just don't.  I also don't sit still long enough to do that so it's nothing personal : )
